What to Eat Before a Workout?

I’ve gotten a few questions like, “Eric, what should I eat before my workout?”

So I decided to shoot this video for you.

This recipe is PERFECT for a pre-workout snack where your goal is PERFORMANCE. Consume 30-60 minutes before for optimal results.



Servings: 6 truffles (1 truffle per serving)


  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds


  1. Combine peanut butter and honey in a blender and blend until combined, then set aside
  2. Grind up oats and mix with ground flax
  3. Combine the peanut butter and oats mixture together in a blender and blend well
  4. Form into balls about 1 inch diameter each
  5. Roll balls in sesame seeds and/or chia seeds to coat the outside
