5 Minute Foam Rolling Routine

Just a follow up to my previous post where I showed you how to make your own PVC roller…

Here’s a 5 minute routine that you can do along with me – gets kinks out in all the places the body tends to hold kinks!

If you’ve never rolled before, you’ll definitely want to do it on a softer roller before going the way of the PVC…

But after a month or two on the regular foam roller it’ll be time to step up.

Hello Mr. Wong,

I have a question. First I like to say that since I subscibed to your site I found that all of the information you presented prove to be very effective, especially when I do them regularly. But my question is how do I gain flexability in my legs and hips? I’m currently practicing taekwondo, which is mostly kicks, and I can’t seem to get and keep the flexability in those areas. Do you, or anybody for that matter, have any suggestions for me?

Hey Eric, good video, I love using the foam roller as well. Seems like guys have lots of questions about the foam roller. do you have a video or section explaining the purpose of the foam roller or why its even used? I know it can be confusing for someone if they don’t really understand what the whole purpose is or whats going on with the body when using the roller or even the main purpose. I used to teach foam rolling classes and people always wanted to understand why its good for you and why they should be doing it. Just a suggestion bro, like the video, using PVC must hurt like a bitch!

I have had 2 mma fights and last saturday i was ment to have my 3rd fight and my first cage match i got there i got wrap up and ready to rock and roll a few fights before i went and checked out a few matches i seeing a great ko then i freaked out i start panicing and just lost it i ended up forfiting the fight and as it was my fist payed fight i missed out on some great cash and ive probaly crushed my chances with that promotor!!! i love this sport and i know i can be great i know i can fight well and ive been in the ring before i dont understand what happened i need help .

Nice One Eric,

Looks great was looking forward to watching this as not sure what to do with the foam roller…But I noticed you didn’t touch you abs and other parts of the body? Are these NO GO areas or is it just fitting it all in during the time?
Might be a silly question but like I said not sure what to do with the foam rollers.

I love foam rolling I spend 2 Hours a week using the foam roller! Best thing since sliced bread 🙂

Cool video Eric. I am curious though I have never tried foam rolling before. Do you do this post workout or next day for relief of soreness? When is the best time to do something like that? Thanks for your help.
