1Trick to Sticking To Your Diet

My wife LOVES baking desserts.

One night this past summer I gave her the nickname “The Dessert Angel” and it kinda stuck…

She makes desserts like these:

Healthy Brownies
And I LOVE eating healthy and everything that comes along with it, like ENERGY in the TANK.

So she’d ask me nutrition questions and about healthy ingredients and then she’d go work her magic in the kitchen and whip something up for me to try.

Then, back in September I had a bit of an “a-ha” moment and figured I could help her put something together for anyone who loves eating treats, but doesn’t want to look like they do.

I saw it as something that a lot of people could benefit from, specifically the people who “know what to eat, but have trouble doing it”.

Because let’s face it, most diets are strict. And strict diets work.

But if you can’t stick to the diet, it’s worthless.

Now imagine for a moment that you could eat healthy desserts designed to burn fat, give you energy, and keep you healthy.

Wouldn’t that make it a heck of a lot easier to stick to your diet?

Because then, it wouldn’t feel like a diet at all!

Well we just finished putting together the product:

Go read the page… It’s here:

I think this will help because I have no energy, my son is a 8 year old MMA training for the future, started when he was 4 years old, I have stopped going to his classes where he trains 6 days a week and 3 hours on Saturday but me I sit on the couch and non stop stuffing my face at 5 10 over 220 pounds overweight I am looking to increase my energy and come up with exercises that my son and I can do together because life is too short, having lost my brother in a freak car accident at a young age I wonder if I will continue this sabotage and allowing my life with my son to pass by and regret it one day, feeling desperate and tired of trying everything and learning along the way that you cant trust people it is hard to… Read more »

Hi Eric! I am a 20 year old girl from Belgium and have been a follower of your website for a few months now. I love your articles! So when I read about this contest, I couldn’t wait to enter it. I have always been a lover of sweet food, ice cream, candy and desserts. But since september 2011, I lost 25 pound, 15 yet to go. I cut down my carbs-intake, started running, working out, and eating more healthy overall. Saying goodbye to my beloved sweet treats was absolutely the hardest thing to do! Being at parties, having a girls night, feeling sick, .. everything was a reason to grab something sweet. But so far so good, I am still working on myself. I can’t say I haven’t binged or failed or took a ‘cheat day’, but this is what kept me going. Giving myself the reward for the… Read more »

Sounds great. Good for you.

Just one grammer tip: “I will learn them” = you will “teach” them and they will “learn” as a result.

Thank you! I’ll remember that!

This book is brilliant! When my diet fails it is because of my sweet tooth taking over. Having the dessert angel’s recipes will curb the cravings before they get out of control. Plus, the diet will be less strict which makes it easier to pitch the idea to the spouse and stick to. I’ve been searching for a good dessert book for a while. Looks like you hit it right on the head. And it’s awesome that your wife helped you defeat the sugar cravings.

Hey Christian – thanks man. We (my wife and I) really think this will help a lot of people who always sabotage themselves with sweets, then feel bad about it and do it again and again!

Definitely hit me up with your results!

Hi Eric, I’ve been reading your site for the past few months after I had a problem with low back pain. I couldn’t believe how fast your Damage Control Routine helped me so thank you for that! I’ve had weight issues since I was a teenager. Looking back on it it’s obvious why – my diet was terrible, consisting of kraft dinner, frozen dinners and lots of sugar! When I went to university I started to learn about nutrition and change my diet and it’s helped me lose weight and feel a heck of a lot better. But sometimes I struggle with “deprivation dieting” and fall off. I always come back sooner or later, but for a while I feel really depressed and down that I fell off my diet. I hate the feeling but when it happens, I can’t shake it. So just maybe, The Dessert Angel recipes can… Read more »

I’ve been reading your material and implementing it into my training for the past several years that I’ve been a subscriber to your emails. I was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter (season 12) and I’m always looking for ways to improve. Dessert is my favorite type of food to eat. And, the idea of healthy dessert seems to good to be true! The Dessert Angel could change my world 🙂

I’m a 19 year old student and I would have to say I have a pretty darn good diet when it comes to breakfast, lunch and dinner, but my shortfall for sure is the snacks and sweets department. After eating a nice healthy dinner I always get a sweet tooth craving after. I always go towards my stash of chocolate granola bars and other sugar filled bars. Also when doing homework on late nights I’ll get a sudden hunger craving, and what do I go and grab? More granola bars. 9g of sugar per bar is killing me on my ways to make some gains. I train pretty hard multiple times a week in my room doing bodyweight and kbell exercises, and I’ll head to the gym to row for some cardio as well. My gains are pretty minimal and I have hovered around the same weight now for a… Read more »

I am a top ranked female MMA fighter and strength and conditioning coach for a professional roller derby team in my home town. They are constantly asking me for nutrition advice on how to perform and look better. The problem is, one tenant of roller derby is afterparties…..if I could give them advice and ideas for recipes for their after bout parties, it would help them considerably, while also helping me with my health and fight career as well. It’s a double bonus!

Hi Eric,
I actually don’t have a problem following you nutrition jiutsu. Never been a dessert fan. Call me weird. My wife on the other hand, a ballet dancer, has always struggled. She is following your nutrition jiutsu, except for regular dessert snacks. I want her to be happy and stop struggling with it. I think your wife’s book might be the solution we have been looking for. I want her to feel good and be super healthy..

Hi Eric, The effort that Helen has put into this cook book is very clear! I’m glad she was able to reach her goals for that big day After reading about the cook book what I really like is the fact that Helen has done the research and the work for me! I am a very busy person and to have the guess work taken out of the equation means a lot to me. I can cook but I am no Chef Tell! Now, if I can just convince my wife to join me in my health crusade I can get her to use these recipes whenever she makes desserts. I had always wondered why my own weight would go down after eating desserts a few times during the week and then going back to my diet. To finally have the reasons confirmed was awesome! I still use the guide… Read more »

The one thing I have always struggled with is my diet. I can’t help but crave the “forbidden foods” they just seem to taste way better than anything else I can get my hands on. I always push myself with my strength and conditioning (thanks for the program it has opened my eyes to new workouts I never thought of) at the gym as hard (but safe) as I possibly can and I have never been able to achieve my goals fully. The only explanation I can come up with is because I can never stay on a diet it is just to difficult to resist the temptations of desserts. Reading about this guide has made me super interested, (seeing that you can eat 4 desserts a week and still lose fat will always catch my eye haha) I really want to give this a try I think it would… Read more »

Well, cutting weight sucks and Im sure you can agree with that. Having to cut 30 lbs to make my next fight has been crazy, and having a pregnant wife eating all kinds of delicious food is not helping my situation. I really need this, itll be a great morale booster!

I am heading to Ranger Assessment and Selection in a few months and am trying to get into the best possable shape. I love to fight, I love to train and I love serving my country. Ranger Selection is one of the worlds most strenuous feets and requires a Soldier to be in peek physical and mental condition. I’m training my hardest for this. I’m training as though I were training for a fight. I’ve even stopped drinking completely for this. But of course sometimes even the strongest need a little help from time to time. Thank you for all you do, brother. Train hard, fight hard, and win big!

“My name is Natalie, and I’m a chocaholic.” Sweets have always been my weakness. Being a nurse, I’m very aware of the importance of insulin regulation, but that doesn’t stop me from straying off my diet. This cookbook sounds absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to try it! The idea of healthy desserts is great and I’m eager to share them with my daughter. Did I see no-bake cookies?? Heavenly!!

Because both my husband and I have a wicked sweet tooth, and as “type A” people, we hate being told we CAN’T do or have something. So, as soon as we begin anything resembling a DIEt (don’t you hate how it starts with the word “die”), we feel a crazy pull toward the things we’re not supposed to have – – – sweets and/or desserts. If we could have our dessert and eat it too, as an inclusion to our nutritional plan, well, that’d make all the difference. We could then give up DIEting and simply live a healthy lifestyle with healthy foods from breakfast all the way through the day into a decadent AND healthy dessert. No more deprivation!

Smith

Oh wow!!!! My mouth starts watering….. I try to avoid all this type of stuff but I really cant do it….

Hello, so yes I just need this book just because I’m a chocoholic. 🙂 too! And this means a fast fat storage and calories to my body, and this just sabotages my efforts on Eric’s MMA workout from getting in good shape!

Aloha from Hawaii “E”

I need this book to get that look.
Out here in heat yet I long for something sweet.
Want to prove I can eat that and not be phat.
Subscribin’ to E Wong has made me so strong.
While I have no beats I still needs a treat.
This Heavenly Angel can keep me lean.
Not sharing this book would be obscene.

First, the cookie monster sandwich looks amazing!

Why a book like this will help me is easy.

My wife loves to bake and I can’t stop myself from eating 75% of what she makes. Our two small boys (soon to be three) finish off the rest. Over the years we have tried different “healthy” recipes. They never taste good and before I know it there is another plate of delicious, spare-tire creating cookies. And don’t get me started on the cheese cake.

In the winter months our oven is used often. The Mrs. enjoys cooking in the kitchen while I grapple with the animals. After the workouts the heathens and I need a healthy snack. I can’t wait to try the ones in this book!

Why I think this will help me: The specific information provided in this document that spoke to me was: regulating insulin levels by getting taste from good fats and lowering sugar in the dessert and not having to put on fat. I have a disability and my metabolism is slowed down because of the medication I am forced to take. I compete in boxing and this issue makes it harder for me to stay slim and on weight because i struggle to stay on a strict diet but I need some kind of desserts (for my own guilty pleasure) but I need to find a way to be able to have desserts that will keep my blood sugar low, my weight down and not make me fat (to counter the side effects of a slower metabolism from my medication) so I can keep competing in boxing at an appropriate weight… Read more »

Being in the Army and always deployed I dont really get good homecooked food all the time and alot of the itme the DFAC(dining facility) serves a lot of not so healthy things. And being in afghanistan or iraq is no fun so being here i like to eat junk sometimes. However, most of the time i like to try to eat as lean as possible with what they have while deployed because it sets me up for success when i go back to fighting when i get back to the states. Now when i get home its a whole different story; My wife (newly married, long time friend) loves to cook for me after deployments, and now coming back from a deployment soon i know she will cook everything she knows how to, even though she knows i live more on the organic and healthier side I love her… Read more »

This will help me out because I have a tendency to “cheat” on my diet. I try to stick to your guideline of cheat 10% of ur meals to make gains and cheat 20% to stay the same. These recipes not only look tasty as heck but would help my confidence with dieting. All those cheat snickers bars could be replaced with something that my brain tells my body is a “treat” even though it’s not bad for me (as most ‘treats’ are). I know my reason may not be as compelling as others but it is something I’ve never thought of before and would most certainly kick my diet game up a few notches. I can always feel the sluggishness and funkiness of of a candy bar once my body starts processing it and the oh so wonderful crash from the sugar high too. The book itself looks great… Read more »
