Can Old Guys Get Results Too?

I often get asked by ‘old’ guys if my Ultimate MMA program works for them…

I guess it depends not so much your age, but your physical ability and maybe even more importantly, your mindset.

Here’s an actual email I got from Jorgen who is 45 years old:

“Hello,

I am well into training and I have finished the 1 phase. I am well into the 2 phase of training; I have gained half a kilo of muscle mass, and lost some fat, and that is very good news for a man who are 45 years old. I am looking forward to the 3 phase, where I am going to take up again crazy 8, and get to play with a ball…

The MMA training program was just what I was looking for, but could not find any where. The instructors at my gym are good, but not that good…

Jorgen”

So yes, the Ultimate MMA S&C program works for guys in their 40’s, as long as you don’t feel like an old man, you can build some muscle and lose fat with the young bucks.

And then to the questions:

  • Why don’t you recommend using a Bosu Ball (half ball) for Prison Squats, Prone Bridges, and Side Bridges? That would give more Core Training for the muscles, epecially for the second time round. That means not the tapering phase, but when one is “restarting” once training.
