Advanced Exercises for Punching Power [Part 3]

This may very well be my first trilogy of articles/videos on this site!

And because the weather has been phenomenal and I’ve been insanely busy, you’ve had some time to put what I showed you in the previous video in this series into action, so you should now be ready for the advanced exercises in this video.

That was another way for me to say ‘sorry for the lack of contact lately’… 🙂

If you haven’t implemented the foundation exercises, shame, shame, double shame!

But it’s better late than never, so check this video out for the final chapter in developing knee stability for explosive, knockout punching power, then go back and work on the previous exercises and come back to these when you’re ready:

>

And, if you’re not following the Ultimate MMA Strength and Conditioning Program, you’re missing out on tons of knockout power and cardio you can count on… So get to it:

[…] Advanced Exercises for Punching Power [Part 3] […]

Cool exercises, im a big fan of sledgehammer / backyard training myself, they really help the stabilizer muscles and core develop for your future fights. I think these exercises could really help develop functional power Eric, ill check them out for sure man.

Hey Eric,

Been going through your library of videos, and they all have helped so much. I went through this series and added all of the exercises to my routine. I’ll be training full time in the winter, hopefully I can get enough weight training in before I start to roll with the big guys.

Thank you Eric for all of your training information and advice you give to us. I recently completed and passed a strength and conditioning course so i realise and appreciate how complex and difficult it can be to provide such detailed analysis of exercises and training techniques as you do in your videos and articles. Many thanks again Eric for all your work, it is much appreciated, Ken

This one will be a little trickier to figure out if I’m maintaining proper form; I’ll need to watch the video numerous times. (Good thing it’s not pay per view!)

Want to know a weird side-effect of those resistance-band lunges on the last video? Some corns along the outer side of my feet are disappearing! I’ve had those for at least a few years, and this is the only thing I’m doing different that could possibly explain it.

very good detail, great video and explanation. Knee stability is so key for everything MMA, and everything else that involves movment. Thank you for sharing.

This series will help me a lot, I can already tell my stability is better after just a few days. I’ve also been using your books and I must say I can feel the difference and the last 15 or so lbs I’ve been trying to loose are slowly coming off. Thanks Eric! Great stuff!

Eric

I see the confusion. There are actually 3 articles but 2 videos. You’ll see everything linked on my home page here.

Maybe it’s because I came here thru Facebook, but there seems to be some links missing.

The URL includes advanced-exercises-for-punching-power-part-3, but on running it this is said to be part 2. If I try to find (by replacing 3 by 1 or 2 in the URL) part 2 or part 1, I get “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

The link on the page goes to knee-stability-and-punching-power-part-1 which is extremely informative but has no video, nor do part 2 or part 3 apparently exist (I looked). So I can’t find the previous video in this series.

Ken

PS – Eric, I love your Bulletproof Back program!
