I had a hip replacement (severe osteoarthritis) in December.

When I’m cleared for exercise, is the HFS program appropriate to rebuild strength and flexibility in the joint – Glenn Sunshine, US [08:43]

    Hey Eric
    How’s it goin ?
About a year and a bit ago my right knee started clicking and popping when I bent my knee and after a load of research I found out I have knock knee syndrome I’ve had it since I was a kid, I looked at some old photos and its obvious to see.
I also had upper and lower cross syndrome and a dodgy neck and wrist.
I have caused most of this myself through years of lifting with bad form.
Anyway after watching nearly every vidio on you tube I decided to put Elliot hulses advise to the test and correct my shit up with the deadlift. I started with the sumo on blocks with a underhand grip , then I took the blocks away now I,m regular deadlifting and it defently working my legs are a lot straighter and my chest is friggin huge and my butt don’t stick out any more and my neck is injury has gone. I’ve also been doing lot of bent over rowing and dumbell pullovers and grip and core training from your hip flexability program witch is exellent by the way. I was back squatting aswell but when I squat and deadlift my quads get to big , I have allways had big quads since I was a kid.

I plan to switch back to your ultimate mma strength and conditioning program when I,ve built my deadlift to a respectable weight but this time I want to complete the program perfectly anyway my questions are :

    1. I think that because my quads are freakishly huge that I should remove some of the leg exercises from your ultimate strength and conditioning program , so I don,t overstimulate them. What do you think ?
    2. When doing lunge variations does the knee of the leading leg go over the foot or is it abbducted ?
3.In the strength and power phase could I use the conventional deadlift instead of the sumo if so could I rotate them.
    4. I have nerve trapping in my right wrist and I have to do everything on my fists on the ground and because of this I,m having trouble with a few exercises
4a. Can I use a med ball or sledge hammer instead of plyo push ups.
4b. It hurts Like hell when doing prone rollups , what exercise would you do instead ?
    5. When doing leg raises or 1 leg front leg raises from your hip program I get this real loud popping
Sound and it feels weired is this the psoas ?
I would be very gratefull for any advise.
    Cheers dude

    Hey Eric,
Good advice. Just be cautious after hip replacement not to get crazy with the joint mob series in the HFS. Takes time for the hip joint capsule to heal. Makes me nervous

Great video Eric, looking forward to trying out the neck stretch. My neck is often stiff after a heavy deadlift session.

Hey Eric, I just did those two exercises for the calves and I feel so much better. My physiotherapist said that the main issue with the tendonitis I’ve been having in the right foot, and it was killing me. Those exercises just erased the pain. Feeling great. Thanks once again for taking the time to help me with this. Your the best man.

    Hey Eric.
I’m a Krav Maga Instructor and a lot of my student have duck feet which prevents them from doing certain techniques properly. What are exercises they can do the fix this?
